Prof. Amit Jyoti S. Gomber is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School and an Assistant Director with the Centre of Intellectual Property and Technology Law. Her primary areas of interest are trade mark law and copyright law. She teaches IP Law, Alternate Dispute Resolution and Tort law at JGLS. Ms. Gomber has researched on the validity and recognition of unconventional trade marks by comparing its development in the US and India. She recently attended the IP Congress organized by the International Intellectual Property Law Association (IIPLA) at Dubai. She has been awarded the â€˜Teaching Excellence Awardâ€™ in 2014 and â€˜Special Mention Awardâ€™ in 2015 for continuously demonstrating outstanding performance in teaching.
Ms. Gomber holds an LL.M. degree in IP Law from the George Washington University, Washington DC, and a B.A.LL.B (Hons.) degree from Panjab University, where she received a gold medal for academic excellence.
