B.B.A. LL.B. (NLU Jodhpur), LL.M. (NLU Jodhpur), Ph.D. (University of Edinburgh)
Anindita accomplished her Ph.D. (doctoral) from the Law School, University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom) in the area of corporate law and governance. Her research addresses critical concerns in corporate governance, more specifically gender diversity. This essentially speaks about her inclination towards institutionalizing diversity not only as an issue of equality and social justice, but also as a forward-looking functional attribute of strategic concern. Much in conformity, she is a contributor/author in the Scottish Feminist Judgement Project, and has worked actively in the Athena Swan and the Diversity and Inclusion committee at the University of Edinburgh. While she is interested to pursue further research in this domain (not only in the context of companies, but any organization and institution to which this holds no lesser relevance), her core interests lie in corporate and commercial laws.
Prior to joining Jindal, she has worked at NALSAR teaching courses on FEMA (foreign exchange management law), “entrepreneurship and law”, and “strategic diversity”. Previously, she has taught courses on business entities, company law and investment law to undergraduate students at Edinburgh and India. She has provided her editorial assistance to the book “Procedural Fairness in International Courts and Tribunals”.
She strongly believes that no course, and much less a living subject like law, can be taught in seclusion to practical and industry exposure. Accordingly, following her graduation from National Law University, Jodhpur (BBA.LLB) with a specialized Corporate Law Hons., she has worked with the law firm- Majmudar & Partners (Mumbai), for more than four years. She has further worked on a published year-long research project sponsored by the National Stock Exchange of India.
