His main research area is in urban history. He is currently working on a book about the history of real estate in Delhi from 1911-47. His other area of research is about political cartoons. In this field, he has published on the thematic patterns of editorial cartoons in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter movement. He has a long-standing interest in labour history – though little of his primary research so far has taken up the question. He teaches or have taught courses in legal history, social science concepts, Marxist political thought, urban history, colonialism, nationalism Chicago, and political cartoons.
