Arun Sagar holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of Rouen and an LL.M. as an Erasmus Mundus scholar at the Universities of Rouen and Hanover. He had earlier completed his B.A./LL.B. Hons. from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. His Ph.D. thesis won the Ecole Doctorale Droit Normandie’s Prix de Thèse (Thesis Award), 2014.
Arun Sagar’s research interests are in the fields of constitutional law and theory, jurisprudence, administrative law and comparative law. His doctoral work was on the division of powers in federal systems, with a comparative and theoretical approach using hohfeldian analysis. He has taught courses in comparative constitutional law and European law at Sciences Po (Reims and Le Havre) and NLU (Delhi). He has also taught languages at the University of Rouen and elsewhere in Normandy for the Academie de Rouen.
