As an advocate, Gautam specializes in a range of commercial and dispute resolution matters. He has previously advised domestic and international clients in Commercial and Dispute Resolution matters; and has in his previous offices represented several clients in arbitrations and matters relating to supply and sale contracts. He has gathered invaluable experience & expertise, inter alia, in handling various types of Commercial Arbitrations as a Tribunal Secretary and drafting legal opinions for international institutions and international clients with Hon’ble Justice Deepak Verma, Former Judge of Supreme Court of India. He graduated from National Law University, Odisha in the year 2015 and has a Master’s in International Business Law from Central European University in 2017. He also has a Diploma in Sports Law from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar in 2018.
Besides being an advocate, Gautam is also a Research Assistant of Dr.Sai Ramani Garimella, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Legal Studies, South Asian University and also has several publications to his name viz., “Separability of Arbitration Agreement in Mutual Termination of Contracts in India: A Legislative Guideline” in The Journal of International Arbitration (JOIA), Volume 36, Issue 6, Pg.xxx(Forthcoming issue), “The Debate of Seat Vs Venue in International Commercial Arbitration Proceedings: – Addressing the Bone of Contention” in International Commercial Law Review, Volume 1, Issue 1, having (ISSN No-2456-2475) and “Exploring New Dimensions of Adr via Odr – Introduction To An Amorphous Concept” in the Journal of Legal Analysis and Research (JLAR) having (ISSN: 2348-456X).
Gautam is currently the Senior Managing Editor for Network of International Law Students(NILS) and also the co-founder of the Blog Arbitration Workshop.
