Prof. Manasi Kumar has a Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School in the United States, where she also served as Internet Editor of the Lewis and Clark Law Review. She graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Cornelius Honour Society, an honour given to select graduates by the professors of the law school. Ms. Kumar’s legal experience is varied in terms of both practice and geography. She was an associate with well-known law firms in India and the United States, where she has been involved in litigation and international arbitration.
She regularly appeared in courts in the U.S. She has worked in a diverse set of practice areas, including oil and gas, government procurements, insurance, maritime, construction and general commercial dispute resolution. She is admitted to the Bar of the State of Oregon, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. She teaches a popular seminar on commercial contract drafting.
