Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) on Friday held a one-day conference on the ‘Future of Legal Education in India.'
Judges, academicians, senior lawyers and TNDALU vice-chancellor TSN Sastry participated in the event organised in association with OP Jindal Global University, Haryana.
Madras high court judge Justice Vineet Kothari inaugurated the conference. During his address, Justice Kothari highlighted the glory and significance of legal education with a critical outlook and emphasised the necessities for bench, bar and academic relations.
He stressed that it is time for self-introspection of all the streams of justice workers in the country to revamp the legal education which includes judicial process accumulation and teaching research.
Other judges who participated in the event spoke about the need to bring back re-examination, liberal approach to legal pedagogy with a futuristic outlook and more women to take part in the legal education process.
