The Centre’s research adopts a critical approach to reforming the criminal justice system. It focusses on a wide range of contemporary issues dealing with criminal justice and related elds. Its current research lies in the area of criminal jurisprudence, particularly with respect to the ‘Theory of Punishments’. Additionally, it is focused on the relevant and pressing issue of ‘The Need for Sentencing Guidelines in India’. Upcoming research areas of interest include criminal psychology and witness protection.
