Ms. Deborah did her graduation reading in History and Law from the University of Delhi and obtained her Masters in Law as a student of Merit Scholarship from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi with a dual specialisation in Corporate Law and Criminal Law. Besides, she also holds a P.G. Diploma in International Trade Law and Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADRs) from ILI, New Delhi. Prior to joining the field of academics, she worked as an Associate at the Law Office of the Additional Solicitor General of India, High Court of Delhi and later practiced in the City Civil Courts of Delhi. Her previous teaching assignments include one at Damodaram Sanjivaya National Law University (DSNLU), Vishakhapatnam (A.P) and later at SRM University, Haryana (SRMUH) where she was intensely associated setting up and operationalising of Legal Services Clinic to extend legal aid services in the district of Sonepat. Presently, she is a Ph.D Candidate at NLU, Delhi pursuing research in the area of ‘Rights of Patients in Medical Research in India’.
