Archana Mishra is Assistant Professor and Assistant Director, Centre for Women, Law and Social Change at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and also a Doctoral Scholar at the University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGSIPU (Delhi). She holds a first class LL.M from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi with highest marks in dissertation in her batch after completing LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from T.M. Bhagalpur University where she stood second in the University. She has also cleared the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test for Lectureship (UGC- NET) in Law. Prof. Archana Mishra's research focuses on all areas of family laws viz. laws relating to marriage, divorce, succession, maintenance, adoption among Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Parsi and other communities in India as well as in other jurisdictions like USA, Canada and Australia. At JGLS, Prof. Mishra teaches Family Law I and II. Before joining academia, she worked in Corporate field as Legal Editor with Universal Law Publishing and Indlaw Communications (now, a part of Thomson Reuters) in Delhi. Her papers have been published in some of the finest international family law journals like Oxford University Press (OUP) Journal - International Journal of Law, Policy and the Family, LexisNexis Australia's Journal - Australian Journal of Family Law (AJFL), Thomson Reuters Australia - Property Law Review. Recently her paper was published in Journal of Indian Law Institute which is India’s most reputed peer reviewed and refereed law journal of the country. She was member of the sub-Committee of Law Commission of India formed for preparation of 259th Report on 'Early Childhood and Legal Entitlements' (August 2015).
