Shama is on the faculty members at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, India. Shama graduated from JGU in 2015 with the Outstanding Law Leadership Award and her name in the Dean’s List in all 5 years of her B.A.LL.B (Hons.). After this, she pursued the B.C.L. at the University of Oxford, UK. During her undergraduate studies she interned with the United Nations on two occasions – with the UNHCR Delhi (June – July, 2012) and the UNMICT Arusha (June-August, 2014).
Shama has done some research within the areas of International Law, especially International Criminal Law; Human Rights, Gender Studies and Transitional Justice. She takes a keen interest in the interface between Law, Religion and Philosophy. She assists in directing the Mahatma Gandhi Centre for Peace Studies and finds expression for her passion for implementation of the law, through the work of the Centre.
