Williams obtained his LLB from the University of Benin, and his LLM and S.J.D from Central European University. In 2015, he was a visiting scholar at Cornell University. He has practiced law in two reputable commercial law firms in Nigeria, namely, Fidelis Oditah & Co, and Aina Blankson LP, where he advised clients on matters bordering on secured transactions, insolvency law, corporate law and arbitration. He has published a book on secured transactions with the renowned Springer International, and he has also published a few other peer reviewed articles. His research interests include but not limited to contract, property law, company law, secured transactions, insolvency, etc. He also is interested in investigating how these private law topics intersect with human rights and public law.
